THSC Partners with Key Stakeholders to Empower Tripura’s Youth Through Skill Development

New Delhi, A significant meeting focused on skill development for the youth of Tripura was chaired by the Hon’ble Secretary of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Shri Atul Kumar Tiwari, at Kaushal Bhavan in New Delhi. The meeting saw the participation of Hon’ble Shri Kirit Pradyot Deb Barman, the current titular king (Maharaj) of Tripura, THSC CEO Mr. Rajan Bahadur, and other key stakeholders.

 The agenda of the meeting revolved around providing targeted skill development training in the tourism and hospitality sectors to enhance employment opportunities for the youth of Tripura. Additionally, discussions covered the enhancement of entrepreneurial skills among the youth in emerging sectors, tailored to the state's specific needs.

 "This collaborative effort is a significant step towards empowering the youth of Tripura. By providing them with the right skills and training, we are not only opening doors to suitable employment opportunities but also fostering a spirit of entrepreneurship that is essential for the state's growth."

 The meeting highlighted the necessity of aligning skill development programs with regional demands and the emerging sectors to ensure that the youth of Tripura are well-equipped to contribute to the state's economic progress.

 Established in 2014, THSC is an apex body for vocational education and skill development in India, focusing on Tourism and Hospitality. Since its inception, THSC has enrolled over 1.5 million individuals and successfully certified over 1.2 million youth. With a network of over 1000 training institutes, 120 colleges, and 2000 industry partners, THSC’s vision is to create a robust, industry-aligned skilling ecosystem to promote the Tourism and Hospitality sector and meet its mission of providing millions of beneficiaries with respectable employment opportunities to serve customers' needs.
