Well, Country’s Golden Triangle is a tourist circuit which connects three Indian cities, including the capital of the country. It connects New Delhi, Agra and Jaipur in this unique triangle. It is known as the Golden Triangle because of its triangular shape formed by the all three locations of New Delhi, Agra and Jaipur on the map of India. TAJ MAHAL
TAJ MAHAL of Agra, Uttar Pradesh is considered as the most impressive monument of India. Taj Mahal is the Fifth Wonder of the World too. This Indian monument is one of the world’s most symmetrical structures. It is an ivory-white marble mausoleum on the bank of holy Indian River Yamuna. Taj Mahal was commissioned by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the year 1632. It is believed that the emperor made Taj Mahal in the memory of his beloved queen Mumtaz. It is also known as Mumtaz Mahal. Taj Mahal is the tomb of queen Mumtaz too.
LOTUS TEMPLE
The Lotus Temple is located in country’s capital New Delhi, which is a Bahá'í House of Worship which was dedicated in December 1986. It is very famous for its flowerlike shape, Lotus Dome and with this it has become a prominent and most visited point of attraction in New Delhi. The Lotus Temple is open to all people, regardless of religion or any other particular qualifications. The temple is one of the most beautiful and amazing sights in the city.
HUMAYUN’S TOMB.
The Humayun’s Tomb is located on Mathura Road opposite Dargah, New Delhi. The Tomb was the first garden-tomb on the Indian subcontinent. This tomb was commissioned by the first wife of Mughal emperor Humayun, Empress Bega Begum in the year 1570. The Humayun’s Tomb was designed by Persian architects namely, Mirak Mirza Ghiyas and his son Sayyid Muhammad, which was chosen by Mughal Empress Bega Begum. The Humayun’s Tomb is the best example of Mughal Architecture embedded with Persian Architecture. White marble and red sandstone are used in the building of this historical tomb. Humayun’s Tomb is a UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) world heritage site along with a masterpiece of Persian architects.
JAL MAHAL
The Jal Mahal of Jaipur, Rajasthan is a pure architectural showcase of the Rajput style of architecture on a very big scale. The palace is submerged in the water, which creates a unique point of attraction in the whole city of Jaipur. Tourists from all over the world come here to visit Jal Mahal. HAWA MAHAL
Hawa Mahal is a palace located in Jaipur in the Indian state of Rajasthan. The whole mahal is carved out of red and pink sandstone, and justifying the city’s name as the Pink City. The Hawa Mahal was built in the year 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, the grandson of Sawai Jai Singh, who was the founder of Jaipur city.
FATEHPUR SIKRI
Basically, Fatehpur Sikri is a small city in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, just west of Agra. It is founded by a Mughal Emperor Akbar in the year 1569. It is a place which you cannot skip because of its extremely well-crafted masterpiece of architecture. Buland Darwaza gate is the entrance to Mosque and nearby, there is the marble Tomb of Salim Chishti. You will also find, Jodha Bai’s palace here, which is a mix of Hindu and Mughal styles of architecture.
JAMA MASJID
Jama Masjid, which is also known as Masjid-e-Jahan Numa, is one of the largest mosques in Indian. This mosque was built between 1650 and 1656 by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan and it was opened for public from the year 1656. It was inaugurated by Imam Syed Abdul Ghafoor Shah Bukhari from Bukhara, now Uzbekistan. It is the must-visit tourist destination in the capital, people from all over the world visit here.
AMBER FORT
Amber Fort is one of the grandest forts in the Indian state of Rajasthan, located in Amer. It is a mammoth structure, located 11 kilometers from state’s capital Jaipur. This fort is the principal tourist attraction in the state. It was built by Raja Man Singh and in the year 1592.
CITY PALACE
The City Palace of Jaipur was established by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II in the year 1727. At the same time, the city of Jaipur was established. It is pure marvel of Mughal architecture and the architect behind this is Mr Vidhyadhar Bhattacharya. The palace is very important for those people who are pretty much addicted to history and stories, for it houses a very amazing collection of photographs, paintings and curios from Jaipur’s golden age.
AKSHARDHAM TEMPLE
Akshardham Temple, which is also known as Swaminarayan Akshardham Complex, is a Hindu Temple and a spiritual-cultural campus in New Delhi, India. It is a gigantic structure, which was built in the year 2005. This Hindu Temple displays millennia of traditional Hindu and Indian culture, architecture and spirituality. It is also the third largest Hindu Temple in the world on the basis of area. It covers 240,000 meter square area.
INDIA GATE
India Gate, which is also known as Delhi’s Arc-de-Triomphe, is a war memorial located astride the Rajpath in New Delhi. The height of India Gate is 42 meters and the architect behind this gigantic structure is Edwin Lutyens. It was opened for public on 12th February 1931. The arch of India Gate houses a shrine, inside which is the ever-burning “Amar Jawan Jyoti”.
