Kolkata, September 9, 2025 — Caravan, TravClan’s flagship B2B travel platform, successfully opened its third edition yesterday in Kolkata with strong participation from exhibitors, partners, and travel agents. With the theme “Travel Meets the Future”, the event reinforced TravClan’s commitment to driving constant innovation in the travel trade, combining product showcases with tech-led solutions while enabling agents and suppliers to exchange real-time insights that accelerate adoption.
Caravan was designed to be more than a networking event. Conceived by TravClan, it is a platform where the Indian travel ecosystem comes together to learn, share, and grow. In just one year, exhibitor interest and active registrations have grown more than threefold across nine cities. The boutique roadshow format not only facilitates deeper one-to-one discussions but also allows TravClan to gather immediate feedback from the trade — ensuring that its innovations are quickly aligned to the industry’s needs.
The choice of Kolkata underscored the city’s growing importance as an outbound hub. “Over the last year, we’ve observed the immense potential this city holds, backed by our already strong base of agents,” TravClan said. “Our aim is to strengthen these relationships, empower local agents with access to global suppliers, and adapt our solutions based on real-time market insights.”
Reflecting this year’s theme, TravClan showcased its latest AI-powered tools — from instant travel posters and automated quotes to more efficient back-end processes. “AI is making travel trade faster, more efficient, and more accessible,” TravClan added. “Caravan gives us the opportunity not only to demonstrate these innovations but also to learn directly from agents and partners, so we can bring solutions to market faster.”
Exhibitor Voices
Exhibitors praised the event for its format and timing.
● Ahmed Shifan, Sales and Revenue Manager, AAA Resorts / Medhufushi: “Opportunities to meet agents face-to-face are rare. Caravan enabled those direct interactions, giving both sides a chance to exchange insights and build stronger relationships. Expanding in Kolkata is critical for us, and we look forward to Chennai and Bengaluru.”
● Sarang Karnik, Stardream Cruises: “In just a few hours we connected with a wide network of agents. Kolkata is strategically important — its proximity to Southeast Asia and strong demand during Durga Puja make it ideal for us. The timing of Caravan was perfect.”
● Tawee Sakornsin, General Manager, AirAsia: “This roadshow format is very effective in building sustained relationships. Kolkata is a promising new market for us, and Caravan gives us the perfect platform to raise awareness about our products in Phuket and Thailand.”
Agent Perspectives
Agents highlighted Caravan’s boutique format as a differentiator.
● Mehak, Back2Back Travels: “Caravan has been a refreshing change from larger expos. Here, we can sit down, understand products in detail, and discover unique experiences — from wellness travel to digital detox holidays — that today’s travelers want.”
● Gaurav & Manav, Trago Trips: “As someone new to the travel trade, Caravan has been extremely valuable. It gave us exposure to destinations like Dubai, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Bali, and the confidence to sell them effectively to our clients.”
Next Stops: Chennai & Bengaluru
Following Kolkata, Caravan will now head to Chennai and Bengaluru — two markets with enormous potential where TravClan plans to further deepen partnerships and expand its presence. Looking ahead, TravClan’s vision is clear: to make Caravan the go-to platform where innovation, feedback, and the future of India’s travel trade are shaped together with the industry.
