Goa Tourism Officials Participate in Rashtriya Ekta Diwas and Bharat Parv Celebrations

Mumbai, 4th November 2025 - In celebration of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day), the Department of Tourism, Government of Goa, has participated in the national observance and Bharat Parv celebrations being held from 1st to 15th November 2025, commemorating the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India.

The event, organised under the aegis of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, showcases India’s unity in diversity through a vibrant convergence of culture, cuisine, crafts, and thematic exhibits from all States and Union Territories.

“Goa stands united with the nation in celebrating Rashtriya Ekta Diwas and Bharat Parv, honouring the legacy of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel whose vision continues to inspire unity and progress,” said Shri Rohan A. Khaunte, Hon’ble Minister for Tourism, “Through such platforms, we reaffirm our commitment to promote responsible and regenerative tourism that strengthens India’s unity in diversity.”

Director Tourism, Shri Kedar Naik stated “Goa’s participation at Bharat Parv is an opportunity to highlight the State’s cultural depth and sustainable tourism efforts. Our focus is on showcasing Goa’s evolving tourism identity, one that blends heritage, ecology, and community engagement in alignment with the ethos of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.”

The Department of Tourism, Goa will be represented by Mr. Raghavendra Pai and Mr. Prakash Pai, Executive Engineer (SPV), Ms. Diksha Tari, Deputy Director (Tourism), and Mr. Pradeep Binnar, Assistant Director (Tourism) will represent the State during the second leg of the celebrations.

The Bharat Parv event will feature: Cultural programmes in the evenings (as per Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat pairing), Food stalls featuring diverse cuisines from various States and UTs, Craft stalls showcasing traditional artistry from across India, Theme pavilions highlighting tourism, heritage, and cultural diversity and Dedicated theme pavilions by the Ministry of Tourism (GoI), Tribal Department (Government of Gujarat), and Gujarat Tourism

Goa’s participation in Bharat Parv will spotlight the State’s vibrant culture, distinctive cuisine, traditional crafts, and ongoing initiatives promoting Regenerative Tourism. The Goa Pavilion will emphasize the State’s commitment to sustainability, community-based tourism, and preservation of its rich cultural heritage, resonating with the national vision of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.
