Goa Tourism Showcases Regenerative Vision at SATTE 2026; Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat Visits Pavilion

Goa Tourism made a remarkable impact on Day 1 of SATTE 2026, inaugurated by Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat at Yashobhoomi Convention Centre.

New Delhi, 25th February 2026 - Goa Tourism marked a significant and impactful presence on Day 1 of SATTE 2026 at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre, with the prestigious gathering being inaugurated at 3:30 pm by Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Hon’ble Minister of Culture and Minister of Tourism, Government of India.

During his visit, the Hon’ble Minister toured the vibrant Goa Tourism pavilion and engaged in a warm and insightful interaction with the official delegation representing the State. The delegation comprised Shri Jayesh Kankonkar, Assistant Director (Tourism); Shri Deepak Narvekar, Deputy General Manager (Marketing), Goa Tourism Development Corporation; and Smt. Chitra Vengurlekar, Assistant Tourist Officer. The team had the honour of presenting Goa’s evolving tourism vision, strategic initiatives and forward-looking approach to the Hon’ble Minister.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Jayesh Kankonkar, Assistant Director (Tourism), stated  “SATTE continues to be a vital platform for engaging with domestic and international stakeholders. Goa’s participation this year is centred on reinforcing our commitment to Regenerative Tourism and positioning the State as a holistic, year-round destination. The response on Day 1 has been extremely encouraging, with strong interest in our diversified tourism offerings and strategic initiatives.”

Shri Deepak Narvekar, Deputy General Manager (Marketing), Goa Tourism Development Corporation, added “The footfall and engagement at the Goa pavilion reflect the growing curiosity and confidence in the State’s tourism ecosystem. We are witnessing meaningful discussions with travel trade partners, particularly around experiential travel, sustainable practices and enhanced visitor facilities.

SATTE provides us with an invaluable opportunity to strengthen partnerships and expand Goa’s reach across key markets.”

The inauguration lent the occasion a distinct sense of national eminence, bringing together key stakeholders from the global travel and tourism fraternity under one roof.

The esteemed representatives from Goa Tourism were present during the inaugural ceremony, marking their participation in this significant industry platform.

The Goa Tourism pavilion witnessed an enthusiastic and continuous influx of visitors throughout the day, with delegates and travel trade representatives evincing keen interest in the State’s newest tourism initiatives and enhanced facilities being curated for travellers. There was a notable beeline of industry stakeholders at the stall, inquiring about emerging destination circuits, infrastructure upgrades and experiential tourism offerings.
 
The stall presented a visually engaging panorama of Goa’s diverse tourism landscape, showcasing iconic landmarks alongside immersive hinterland experiences and niche segments that reflect the State’s evolving appeal beyond its beaches.

Various prominent tourist attractions and thematic circuits were displayed, offering visitors a comprehensive understanding of Goa’s tourism portfolio.

A key highlight of the showcase was the emphasis on Goa’s pioneering initiative as India’s first State to introduce Regenerative Tourism, underscoring its progressive vision towards sustainable, responsible and future-forward travel.

The concept, anchored in the pillars of people, environment and economy, drew considerable attention from national and international buyers seeking meaningful and impactful travel models.

The pavilion also prominently promoted the “Live the Feeling” campaign, inviting travellers to experience Goa beyond the conventional and to immerse themselves in its authentic culture, vibrant communities and diverse year-round offerings.

Goa Tourism’s dynamic presence on the opening day of SATTE 2026 reaffirms the State’s continued leadership in innovation, sustainability and destination marketing, setting a strong tone for the days ahead at one of South Asia’s most influential travel trade exhibitions.
