New Delhi, 03 November 2025: India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), a public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, successfully observed Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 from 27th October to 2nd November 2025. The week-long activities were held under the theme, ‘सतर्कता: हमारी साझा जि म्मेदारी / Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility’ highlighting the collective role of individuals, institutions, and society in fostering transparency, integrity, and accountability.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Mugdha Sinha, IAS, Managing Director, ITDC, said:
“Observing Vigilance Awareness Week gives ITDC an opportunity to reflect, engage and collectively reaffirm our commitment to transparency & accountability. The Tourism and Hospitality – or any other industry - rests on the foundation of ethical conduct.”
Mr. Sunil Kumar Sharma, CVO, ITDC added:
“In line with Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) directives, ITDC continues to strengthen preventive vigilance measures across its Offices and Hotels, including timely disposal of complaints, enhanced asset management systems and digital vigilance initiatives.’’
The observance began with employees across ITDC’s Corporate Offices, Hotels, Catering Units, Regional Offices, Ashok Travels & Tours, the Ashok Institute of Hospitality & Tourism Management (AIHTM), and other divisions taking the Integrity Pledge. ITDC also marked the week through a series of engaging activities organized by AIHTM students, including Poster Making, Slogan Writing, Debate, and Quiz competitions, encouraging participants to share their vision of a corruption-free and vigilant India. Additionally, interactive sessions by external experts were conducted, featuring a capacity-building workshop on preventivevigilance held for ITDC employees, aimed at enhancing awareness and fostering a culture of integrity across the organization.

As part of the ITDC’s community engagement efforts, a powerful Nukkad Natak was performed by students to spread awareness about the importance of Vigilance in everyday life. The week also featured a Walkathon, flagged off by CVO, ITDC symbolizing collective commitment towards transparency and ethical conduct.
