These initiatives reflect Akasa Air’s unwavering commitment to offering equal access and a cohesive flying experience for all its passengers.

The Braille in-flight safety manual provides an explanation of the safety instructions, in English and Hindi. These are provided to passengers onboard upon request and cover detailed instructions on seatbelt operation, location of emergency exits and life jackets, tactile diagrams that help orient passengers to aircraft and aircraft positions and other essential safety information.

The Braille in-flight menu cards are thoughtfully designed and feature a variety of options including meal choices, snacks, and beverages available to order while on the flight. By incorporating Braille, passengers with visual impairments can independently peruse and select their meal preferences, enhancing their overall travel experience.

Akasa Air’s cabin crew remains dedicated to assisting passengers who require these resources, in line with the airline’s continuous endeavour for compassionate and empathetic service. These Braille materials were developed in collaboration with The Xavier’s Resource Centre for the Visually Challenged (XRCVC), ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and usability. XRCVC, a department of St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai is a national level support and advocacy centre for persons with disabilities.
