Mumbai, February 2025 – Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority’s (MTPA) in OTM 2025 turned out to be an immense success, garnering the attention of Indian travel trade fraternity during the three-day stint.
Held at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai, the MTPA booth attracted scores of visitors, introducing them to the island’s dynamic experiences, including its world-class resorts, water sports, escapades and cultural attractions. The visitors, inclusive of Indian travel industry professionals, trade association members, and media, expressed great interest in Mauritius as a versatile destination, ranging from solo travel, family holidays, romantic getaways, and adrenaline-filled activities.
The event reached its crescendo when Mauritius was honored with the Best Luxury Island Destination award during the prestigious trade show, further cementing its appeal among discerning travelers.
Commenting on the participation, Mr. Hurry Krishna Boodhun, Officer-in-Charge, Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA), said: “Mauritius and India share a rich cultural connection that has stood the test of time. Accepting the accolade, Mr. Boodhun further added: “Winning the ‘Best Luxury Island Destination’ award is a testament to Mauritius’ exceptional tourism offerings and our unwavering commitment to providing Indian travelers with an indelible experience. We sincerely thank the panel for recognizing Mauritius as a worthy recipient of this honor.”
MTPA hopes to build on the momentum of its successes in OTM, aiming to further strengthen partnerships with Indian travel trade and draw more travelers to Mauritius in 2025.
