The IndiaSkills Track–II Competitions in hospitality and tourism trades, supported by the Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council (THSC), were successfully conducted on 11th and 12th December at The Lalit Suri Hospitality School, bringing together some of the most promising hospitality talent from across the country.
The competitions witnessed enthusiastic participation across five hospitality trades—Cooking, Bakery, Patisserie & Confectionery, Hotel Reception, and Restaurant Service. A total of 6,000+ registrations were received nationwide, out of which 60+ candidates were selected to compete in the on-ground Track–II competitions.

Participants demonstrated exceptional technical skills, creativity, and professionalism throughout the event. The competitions were conducted in accordance with the WorldSkills Standards Specifications (WSSO) and consisted of two modules per trade, with a total duration of four hours.
Participants across all five trades delivered outstanding performances, reflecting high levels of training and dedication. Competitors travelled from Lucknow, Varanasi, Leh, Kashmir, Ahmedabad, and several other regions, highlighting the truly national scale and inclusive spirit of the competition.

The jury commended the participants for their discipline, innovation, and adherence to industry standards.

The winners of this round will advance to the Regional Level of the IndiaSkills Competitions, progressing further in their journey within the IndiaSkills framework.
The IndiaSkills initiative, with sector-specific support from councils such as THSC, continues to empower young professionals by providing opportunities to demonstrate excellence across diverse vocational trades.
The winners, upon successfully advancing through all stages of the competition, will represent India at the WorldSkills Competition 2026, scheduled to be held in Shanghai, China.
