Running through from December till the month of Love, February, the most Festive Hillside Café, Music & Mountains, is here to bring in the season with a toast of their Classic Mulled Wine. Made with a secret spice mix and the finest Italian Port Wine, a glass of warm Mulled Wine is all you need to feel all the Christmas joy in every sip. Their Winter Warmers include a Classic Egg Nog, follow that up with a Hot Toddy or a Vintage Buttered Rum and for cocktails that are ideal over many many rounds they have an Apple Pie Old Fashioned and a Three Citrus Mountain Marmalade Whisky Sour that will set the tone for the evening. This is also the perfect occasion to introduce you to their House Made Music & Mountains Christmas Gin, an infusion of a secret spice mix, citrus and winter fruits, served with Tonic, this Christmas G & T has the finish of a Christmas Cake lilting on the palate.

As Music & Mountains close in on 7 glorious years, they would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for all their love & commitment and extend the same love to everyone by getting into the ‘Spirit of the Season’, quite literally. Keeping with the Music & Mountains tradition of hearty portions of wholesome food, they bring you a Creamy Norwegian Salmon & Red Potato Stew with Celery, Carrot & fresh Dill, served with warm garlic bread and a whole lot of love. Since this is the citrus season, they added an Avocado Salad with Shrimp, Oranges, Cucumber, Parmesan & Sunflower Seeds which pairs perfectly with a glass of crisp Black Tower Riesling. Their Peruvian avocados are so good this winter that they made a decadent vegetarian sandwich with them, the Alpine Love Avocado, Cottage Cheese, Salsa & Cheddar Sub Sandwich Served with Fries & Salad is a great winter time meal to enjoy with a side of Fettuccine in a creamy sundried tomato sauce with spinach, burnt garlic, crispy basil & Burrata cheese, don’t forget to pair that with Black Tower Pinot Noir. The Crumb Fried Pork Cutlet with Green Apple Slaw, Quince Jelly & Truffle Mash and the BBQ Sticky Ribs with Truffle Mash, Mushy Peas & Garden Salad are the stars of this season’s menu along with the Pumpkin, Potato & Italian White Bean stew with caramelized onions, thyme & bay leaf for vegetarians.

No meal at the Hillside Café is complete with house special, vintage desserts and this Christmas they have Holly’s Rich Plum Cake filled with sultanas, prunes, apricots served with their signature whisky sauce and the Classic Victoria Sponge with homemade strawberry jam iced with Vanilla Buttercream. Last but not the least is their Luscious crumble of seasonal fresh strawberries & melted dark chocolate that they suggest you pair with Black Tower Pinot Noir Rose.
