Yauatcha, the renowned Chinese dim sum teahouse, is delighted to announce its celebration of the traditional Chinese holiday, the Dragon Boat Festival. In honour of this auspicious occasion, Yauatcha is introducing a limited edition menu offering a delightful fusion of flavours and cultural traditions.
The highlight of the Dragon Boat Menu is the zongzi, a pyramid-shaped glutinous rice dumpling wrapped in lotus leaves, traditionally served during the Dragon Boat Festival. Yauatcha's culinary team has expertly crafted five different types of zongzi to tantalize the taste buds of the guests. The menu features both vegetarian and regular options, ensuring there is something for everyone to enjoy.
This limited edition menu is a captivating culinary experience featuring the exquisite Black Truffle and Porcini Mushroom Sticky Rice, skillfully combining earthy flavours with the delectable stickiness of glutinous rice. Steamed to perfection, the classic Sticky Rice Wrapped in Lotus Leaf envelops your senses with fragrant herbal aromas, evoking the essence of tradition.
For those seeking enchanting combinations, the Prawn and Water Chestnut Sticky Rice harmoniously blends succulent prawns and crispy water chestnuts, celebrating the heart of Chinese culinary traditions. Discover the melt-in-your-mouth goodness of the Braised Pork Belly in Lotus Leaf, where tender and luscious pork belly absorbs the essence of the braising liquid, heightened by the subtle botanical infusion from the steamed lotus leaf.
Prepare for a symphony of tastes and textures with the Sticky Rice Wrapped in Lotus Leaf accompanied by either Chicken, Prawn, or Shiitake Mushroom. Each bite unveils a delightful medley that captures the essence of Chinese cuisine. Concluding this extraordinary journey, savour the Cantonese Steamed Custard Bun—a fluffy masterpiece with a heavenly custard filling that perfectly complements the savoury zongzi, leaving an unforgettable impression on your palate.
