Ushered in the festive season with a sparkling Tree Lighting Ceremony at Hyatt Regency Dharamshala Resort

Lights, Camera, Twinkle! The moment we all have been waiting for – the tree is lit and so are our hearts! Hyatt Regency Dharamshala Resort is thrilled to announce the Tree Lighting Ceremony, a festive event that brings the community together to kick off the festive holiday season. Watching the Christmas tree light up for the first time each year was a magical evening filled with joy, music and holiday spirit.

The timeless highlights of the event: Hyatt Regency Dharamshala Resort had invited the Priest from St. John’s Church in the Wilderness to bless and inaugurate the ceremony along with the kids from Surya Udaya Charitable Trust to spread some joy and cheer. The Christmas tree was lit up by the special kids with dazzling lights, adorned with Christmas ornaments. Santa Claus made a special appearance in an enchanted sleigh. Drawing inspiration from Santa’s iconic sleigh, the buggy was adorned in the quintessential colours of Christmas, well well-decorated with festive ornaments, tinsel and jingle bells dangling from the sides to add a touch of elegance, creating an atmosphere of joy and wonder. This year, the culinary artisans have poured their creativity into crafting a uniquely themed gingerbread house, representing the home ground – HPCA Cricket Stadium, that promises to transport you to a realm of whimsical wonders.

Both our guests and colleagues came together with much enthusiasm and glee to experience the festive atmosphere in the Resort’s lobby. The event featured captivating performances by the local artists and carolers that added a festive ambiance and delighted our guests with a variety of holiday tunes. The tree lighting event was followed by an exclusive Soulfilling Tea Tale experience for everyone on the manicured green lawns. Against the backdrop of nature’s tranquillity, the flickering glow of a carefully tended bonfire, added a touch of rustic charm and a source of warmth while ushering the festivity. From hot cocoa, Himalayan mulled wine to holiday cookies, an array of refreshments added to the festive spirit of the evening.

Christmas is the time to spread happiness by giving back to the community we live among the less fortunate. Our initiative has been much appreciated by our guests and colleagues and we hope to bring lots of smiles to the faces of these kids on Christmas. As a token of appreciation to the kids for joining the Tree lighting ceremony, our Santa surprised them with winter charms.
