The radio is much more than a device for mass communication, it’s a box full of possibilities that has survived the test of time, and evolved and adapted into an exciting, contemporary form. For the chatterboxes by habit and storytellers at heart, making your voice heard means the world, and what better way to do it than on the immortal radio!

If you are an aspiring radio jockey, voice artist, or someone interested in mass communication and telling stories, Open Bracket’s ‘The art of being a Radio Jockey workshop, is just the one for you! Here you will learn to write scripts that connect and find topics for stories, basics of voice modulation and delivery, and general tips on what makes a great RJ. So if you love music and have an innate ability to talk about your day in the most theatrical way now is the time to tune in!

About the artist:

The workshop will be conducted by our guest artist Prerna Nahata a.ka. – Mirchi Prerna.

RJ Prerna has been in radio industry since the past five years working with Mirchi 98.3. She did her masters in mass communication in Melbourne and came back to Mumbai only to pursue her dream of becoming a radio jockey. She is ambitious yet grounded and her winning point is her sense of humour. She is an avid traveller who takes no time to make friends out of strangers. She is a dancer by passion and a keen thinker by nature.
