Zomato extends food delivery services to Surat, Vizag, Bhopal, and Bhubaneswar

New Delhi, 13th July: In line with its vision of ‘better food for more people’, Zomato, India’s most preferred food app, expands its online ordering and food delivery services to Surat, Vizag, Bhopal, and Bhubaneswar. With the launch of services in these four cities Zomato’s online ordering services are now spread out across 21 cities in India, including – Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, Kochi, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Indore, Coimbatore, Vadodara, Nagpur, Lucknow, and Ludhiana.

Zomato has partnered with ~500 restaurants across these four cities. With live order tracking, an average delivery time of 35 mins, personalized customer service, multiple payment options, and the largest spread of restaurants to order from – Zomato looks to offer its consumers the convenience of hassle-free delivery through their own delivery fleet in Surat, Vizag, Bhopal, and Bhubaneswar. The service is available seven days a week.

Commenting on the launch, Mohit Gupta, CEO – Food Delivery, Zomato said, “Growth in tier 2 and tier 3 cities have been really encouraging for us and we want to continue to penetrate the country and reach out to more and more people, and make their interactions with restaurant much more seamless as compared to what they are right now. We recently launched in 4 new cities and the response has been exceptional. As an example, we have already clocked over 1000 orders a day in Vizag in under 10 days since the launch.”

The online ordering process on the app is extremely simple. Apart from the user ratings and reviews, the app also has features like ‘The Finest’ and ‘New Arrivals’ which smoothens the decision-making process for consumers. Customers ordering food online can pay via multiple payment options such as Cash on delivery, Cards (debit and credit), Netbanking, Wallets – Paytm, Freecharge, Mobikwik, as well as later pay options like Simpl and Lazypay.

3. Zomato’s premium subscription program Zomato Gold already has over 400,000 paid subscribers and over 2500 partner restaurants in India. Zomato also recently launched Zomato
Piggybank – a reward points program with which all it’s online ordering users.
