Zomato, the online ordering and restaurant discovery platform, has introduced its Zomato Gold premium subscription program in Ahmedabad and Chandigarh. Zomato Gold members in the above-mentioned cities can avail complimentary food/drinks once they place an order in the partner restaurants. Gold is available for use in the cities from June 8 and can be purchased from the Zomato app and website.
Zomato has introduced two early bird Gold membership plans for users in Ahmedabad and Chandigarh. The three-month plan is now priced at Rs. 599 from the original price of Rs. 999 and the 12-month plan can be bought for Rs. 1,499 from the original price of Rs. 2,399, the company said.
Zomato Gold members in Chandigarh can avail one complimentary dish at Gold food partner restaurants and up to two complimentary drinks at the Gold drinks partner restaurants once they place an order at the restaurant. Some of the key partner restaurants in the city are Ministry of Bar Exchange, Pyramid, Falcon cafe and lounge, Benares, Cash Bella Vista, and Cafe JC’s.
Ahmedabad Zomato Gold members can avail one complimentary dish at all the Gold food partner restaurants once they place an order at the restaurant. They can enjoy this benefit at restaurants like variety, Java+ - Courtyard By Marriott, Huber & Holly, Eleven11 Retro Café, Cafe Barraco, and Brick Kitchen by Five Petals.
The subscription gives members access to more than 200 'top-rated' restaurants in Ahmedabad and Chandigarh where they can enjoy the Gold benefits. The company plans to introduce Zomato Gold in Kolkata and Chennai next.
Zomato Gold currently has around 3,25,000 members and around 2800 partner restaurants across Delhi/NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, and Jaipur in India. Outside India, the program is available in UAE and Portugal and is slated to launch in Australia, Philippines, and Indonesia later this year.
“Ahmedabad and Chandigarh are both known for their vibrant cultures, love for food, and unique flavors. While our restaurant discovery platform has become a way of life in these cities, Ahmedabad and Chandigarh have also proved to be the fastest growing Tier II cities for our food delivery business over the last few months. Zomato Gold is changing the face of dining out and is already the fastest growing subscription program in India. We’re certain Zomato Gold will be well received in both these cities considering over 36000 people from both these cities pre-registered to join the program. We are super excited to bring its benefits to both users and restaurant-partners,” said Gaurav Gupta, Chief Operating Officer - Zomato.
