Chefs who presented Indian Cuisine to PM Modi.

Chef Vikas Khanna

Chef Vikas Khanna climbed another stair of success by representing Indian cuisine to the Name & Fame in himself, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the top CEOs of global companies on their US tour. Not only was he on the seventh heaven after doing so but also he made the PM proud. PM Modi hugged him and said: “you have made me very proud”.  Chef Vikas himself says that for years he’s been trying to bring about a renaissance with Indian food and his dinner on 24th September for the Fortune 500 CEOs with PM Modi was memorable. He said, “I wanted to tell the world about the range of Indian food, which can be elevated to fine dining.” One of the CEOs told Chef Vikas that it was a “brutal dinner”. He said, “the dishes looked like paintings; it was difficult to cut them up.”

The meal which was cooked was inspired by pan-India. The food was inspired from the various festivals and rich heritage and culture of India. The toothsome meal was fit for a king. For the mouthwatering meal, the ingredients were shipped from various parts of India.

Chef Sanjeev Kapoor

Most celebrated chef of India Sanjeev Kapoor is not left behind. He cooked for PM Narendra Modi on his visit to UAE. Chef Sanjeev Kapoor  prepared a special Gujarati Spread for PM at the dinner hosted by Nahyan. He feels honoured and privileged to cook for the PM of India.

Sanjeev kapoor said, “Our Prime Minister is a dream to cook for. He is not fussy and loves unpretentious food. They needn’t be fancy, so we concentrate on making it nutritious and healthy. He has such a busy schedule, so I made sure that he ate food that gives you energy,”

Chef Kunal Kapoor

The Satvik  menu by Chef Kunal Kapoor has equally impressed PM Modi. The event was hosted by PM Modi to discuss Make in India. The event was witnessed by Angela Merkel- German Chancellor, Mr. Sunil Mittal- Founder & Chairman Bharti Enterprises, Mr. Azim Premji- Chairman of Wipro Limited and many renowned industrialists across the world. The Chef and his team were appreciated by the ministry and the German delegation for a well organized and delightful menu.

Chef Kunal said, “ It was an honor to cook for PM Modi ji and other dignitaries at the NASSCOM. With PM’s effort to bring India together through his Digital India campaign the team also tried to bring this alive through a culinary fare, thereby bringing food from across the country at the same platform. In accordance with Modi’s preference, we presented him home-style food cooked with authentic and simple recipes to keep the meal light, healthy and delectable.”

Indian Cuisine has no doubt reached another level. The credit goes to the Indian Kitchen and these talented Chefs who innovated Indian Kitchen and made the stakes higher.
