Treebo Hotels launches micro-app on PhonePe for hotel bookings

Flipkart-owned digital payments platform PhonePe has partnered budget hotel chain Treebo Hotels to launch a micro-app on its platform.

The partnership will enable PhonePe users to directly book hotel rooms from Treebo’s network of more than 400 hotels and homestays across over 85 cities at flat prices starting at Rs 999, Rs 1299, Rs 1499 and more. They will also be able to spend and earn Treebo Rewards, the company’s loyalty initiative, on hotels booked through the PhonePe app.

“By building the Treebo app within PhonePe, we will be able to extend the reach of Treebo Hotels through PhonePe’s growing tech-savvy user base and facilitate seamless completion of transactions. It makes PhonePe an important platform partner that will significantly contribute to our direct distribution efforts” said Rana Vishal Singh, Head of Performance Marketing, Treebo Hotels.

This launch is part of PhonePe’s micro-app strategy, that enables its users to avail services from various Internet firms within the PhonePe app. The company which claims to have more than 100 million users, currently offers micro-apps for companies like redBus, Goibibo, Ola, Delhi Metro, Mumbai Metro, OYO, AbhiBus, Coolwinks, and another Flipkart group company Myntra.
