A very Happy Birthday, dear Puneet Chhatwal!

It’s a day to celebrate the birthday of a man who is taking a grand legacy forward keeping roots of tradition intact. Mr Puneet Chhatwal,  CEO and MD IHCL is 55 years young today. We would like to celebrate his day with some interesting and unknown facts about him.

Puneet Chhatwal belongs to a Punjabi family can also speak Punjabi along with  Hindi, English, German and French. Puneet works eminently with the IHCL group to maintain and establish a global standard of Hospitality. He aims towards taking the legacy of one of the oldest Hotels forward in non-conventional and reformed ways.

Puneet Chhatwal believes in gender equality and has started schemes to promote gender balance in the Taj group.  Under his guidance, IHCL has started providing higher referral amount to employees who refer a woman candidate and the other is to extend maternity benefits to include reimbursements of medical expenses incurred in IVF and surrogacy to women.

He believes in the preservation of core values of India’s one of the oldest hotel brand also at the same time does not flinch from reforming the industry. Coming to the mid-segment budget hotel, Puneet is reimagining, rebranding and rebuilding the Ginger group with a lot of simplicity and beautification in order to provide lean luxury to the customer which will create a market of its own.

Puneet’s way of strategizing the marketing and emergence of the TAJ group has defined a reflection to his extravagant contribution in reframing the standards simultaneously retaining the core values of a hotel to present lavish yet unforgettably reminiscing experience to the guest from worldwide.

Mr Puneet Chhatwal has won awards including the prestigious Carlson Fellowship and was rated as one of Europe’s 20 extraordinary minds in Sales, Marketing and Technology – HSMAI European Awards 2014.
