Executive Chef – Mr. Vibhav Verma

16th July 2019, Bangalore: Grand Mercure Bangalore announced the appointment of Vibhav Verma as the new Executive Chef. In this role, Mr. Verma’s responsibilities principally include leading the culinary team at the hotel, developing creative menu ideas, recipes, and spearheading menu engineering, price structuring, leadership management and more.

Vibhav Verma, Executive Chef, Grand Mercure Bangalore holds over 14 years of skilled experience in the hospitality and culinary industry. Having begun his career with the Taj Group of Hotels, Resorts and Palaces as a Chef trainee, Vibhav Verma has worked with Specialty Chef to Soneva Gili Six Senses, Maldives & joined AccorHotels as an Executive Chef at ibis Gurgaon. He has completed his MBA in Hospitality Management from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, Scotland and is a graduate in Hotel Management from the University of Huddersfield, U.K.

Commenting on his appointment, Rayan Aranha, General Manager, Grand Mercure Bangalore said, “We are thrilled to have Vibhav at the helm of our culinary sector at the hotel. He will be responsible for spearheading operations and culinary teams of F&B outlets, 12th Main & by the Blue, at the property offering an exquisite and modern gastronomy experience to guests.”

Vibhav Verma enjoys travelling and listening to music during his time off. He has a keen interest in automobiles and has participated in various automobile rallies, one of them being Tata ‘SOUL’ rally.
