Four Points by Sheraton, Vashi, recognized as the Sustainable Hotel of the Year by Navi Mumbai Chamber of Business & Industries

Mumbai | 28th June 2022: Four Points by Sheraton, Vashi, where business travellers meet comfort, has won the prestigious ‘Sustainable Hotel of the Year’ award along with ‘Best Corporate Friendly Hotel of the year’ by Navi Mumbai Chamber of Business & Industries (NMCBI). The General Manager of the hotel, Stephen D’Souza was recognised as the ‘General Manager for 5-star Hotel of the Year’ by NMCBI. These awards recognise the efforts put in by hotels to adapt to the changing landscape of India’s hospitality industry.

India Hotelier & Hospitality Award 2022 by Navi Mumbai Chamber of Business & Industries (NMCBI) in association with India Coaching Federation (ICF) and Great Human University was organised by their hospitality partner, Four Points by Sheraton, Vashi. The event was graced by Reliance Industries, Skoda Automobiles, QBD Life Science, State Bank of India, Bank of Baroda – Navi Mumbai, Motilal Oswal, Barclays Bank, to name a few.

Some initiatives taken by Four Points by Sheraton Vashi towards becoming a more sustainable property include installing Building Management System (BMS) for low-side HVAC, which resulted in the energy savings of 6,622KWH. The property has also focussed on water conservation with a well-placed rainwater harvesting system that stores water in a 20KL tank, which can be used for flushing and gardening purposes. They have also installed dual flushing systems along with low-flow showers and aerators. In order to sustainably manage waste, the hotel transports its dry waste, used DG engine oil and DG filters for recycling through authorised vendors. Additionally, batteries and other e-waste are discarded through authorised e-waste vendors.
