A curtain raiser to the latest trends & technology in Food & Beverage industry at Anuga FoodTec 2018

Together with Industry sponsor, the German Agricultural Society (DLG), Koelnmesse GmbH, the organisers of Anuga FoodTec, foresee more participation coming from Indian companies.

The world’s leading international supplier fair for the food and beverage industry will be opening its gates once again in Cologne, Germany from 20th -23rd March, 2018 & India is a very important market for us due to its diversity & potential, said Ms. Katharina C. Hamma, Chief Operating Officer, Koelnmesse GmbH in a press conference in the city today. Present at the press conference were Ms. Simone Schiller (Managing Director, DLG (German Agricultural Association) along with Mr. Ashwani Pande, Managing Director, Koelnmesse YA Tradefair Pvt.Ltd.

Elaborating on the Indian partnership, Ms. Hamma said, “On one hand, we can see that there is an interest in big F&B trade fairs in India On the other hand, current exhibitor surveys show us that India is gaining enormous significance as a sales market. India is a market that is experiencing strong growth, which requires high investment. And as such a welcome guest at F&B trade fairs. Which is why we are all the more delighted to greet the Indian companies at Anuga FoodTec 2018”.

Speaking at the conference, Ms. Simone Schiller emphasised on “Resource Efficiencychallenges and opportunities” will be the main theme of Anuga FoodTec 2018. ”It will be a highlight of the fair where internationally recognised experts will explore relevant facets of the issue. Features will include effective and efficient structuring of the value-adding process by taking full advantage of materials, energy, personnel and capital, and making optimal use of resources – for greater sustainability, less environmental pollution, and to achieve savings in many different areas of the company”, she concluded.

Talking about the most important driving force for the international food and beverage industry Ms. Hama stated, “What distinguishes Anuga FoodTec from the other trade fairs is Not only parts of the production are shown – technologies for all processing steps are presented. The visitors experience the entire production cycle. How the basic ingredients are processed, how a product is made, through to the packing of the finished product. Nothing less than the entire production chain is depicted at the trade fair. In short, nobody wants to miss out on Anuga FoodTec. In 2015, representatives from all TOP 10 food & beverage groups visited Anuga whether Nestlé or Coca-Cola, Tyson or Danone Or Pepsi or Mondelez.”
