A Pangat Re-Imagined with Saee Koranne and Conrad Pune

07/02/2020

Pune, 7th February 2020: Conrad Pune welcomes its patrons to get a glimpse into the world of re-imagined Maharashtrian cuisine created by Saee Koranne. Award-winning food writer, Saee has a contemporary take on the region’s culinary traditions. With an effort to popularize Maharashtrian cuisine, Saee began writing her second book – Pangat. The story of Pangat takes you on a journey through the history, geography, culture and traditions of Maharashtra that played a pivotal role in the development of numerous sub-cuisines within one state.

Keeping those in mind, Saee has come up with an interesting menu in association with Conrad Pune. The pop-up will include an array of authentic Maharashtrian dishes, presented in a unique way. Highlights from the menu include Sabudana Poppers, Javla Kismur (fried dried shrimp tossed with onions, coconut, spices and lime juice), Hurda Salad, Thalipeeth Tostadas with Guava Koshimbir, Mutton Kanda Lasun Masala, Mini Matar Karanji, Hirva Masala Chicken Wings, Khandeshi Vangyacha Bhareet Pate on Toast and much more.

Some signature cocktails such as Aale Limboo Gimlet, Kokumtini and Kot Kaakvi Toddy will be paired with this delicious menu.

Last but not the least, no Pangat is complete without a selection of desserts. Patrons can end their meal with a sinful Orange Kharvas with Kaakvi Syrup or Black Sesame Chikki Brittle with Coffee Ice-cream.

Head to Conrad Pune as a one of a kind Pangat awaits you!
