Unique Presentation by Michelin-star Chef Alain Passard, Chef Ajay Anand Director of Culinary – Pullman and Novotel, Aerocity, New Delhi & Prasad Metrani, Executive Chef, Fairmont Jaipur

Jaipur: In the mesmerizing setting of the Ganesh Pol at Amber Fort in Jaipur, the French embassy – Institut Français en Inde organized an exceptional evening in the presence of Michelin-star Chef Alain Passard from France, Chef Ajay Anand, Director of Culinary, Pullman and Novotel, Aerocity, New Delhi and Prasad Metrani, Executive Chef, Fairmont Jaipur.

The association was an amalgamation of a unique French connection shared by Pullman, Fairmont, and the Embassy, with a focus on Bonjour India’s philosophy – to be a platform for the incubation of dreams, ideas and projects.

The soiree was themed and inspired by “India” with an interactive presentation by the three chefs. A vegetarian cocktail menu with locally sourced biodynamic vegetables was showcased along with Chef Passard’s team at Maison Arpège (Marine Hervouet and Alexandre Verdon).

The evening was attended by key French Ministers and Indian political stalwarts H.E. Mr Jean-Yves Le Drian, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, France and Shri Prakash Javadekar, Hon’ble Minister of Human Resource Development, India. About Chef Alain Passard

Alain Passard is a French chef and owner of the three-star restaurant L’Arpège in Paris. Alain Passard began his career at Le Lion d’Or in Liffré under the Michelin-starred Breton Chef Michel Kéréver. There, he was exposed to the fundamentals of classic cuisine. Later on, Passard entered La Chaumière under triple Michelin Star-holder Gaston Boyer, a culinary classicist. In 1977, Passard worked as a member of a small kitchen team at L’Archestrate, led by Alain Senderens. In 1980, at Le Duc d’Enghien at the Enghien Casino, Passard received two Michelin stars at the age of 26. At the Carlton of Brussels in 1984, he also received two Michelin stars. Passard purchased L’Archestrate, located on the corner of rue de Varenne and rue de Bourgogne, from his mentor, Alain Senderens, in 1986. He renamed it to L’Arpège, in tribute to his love for music.
