Hotel bathrooms look fairly good from the hotel’s point of view. They are spacious, they have slip-resistant tiles, showers, jacuzzi installed, standardized products. But is bathing, a true experience in your bathroom for your guest?
Being a hotelier, you need to understand what your guest expect from your hotels. The industry is highly competitive. For surpassing other hotels you need to provide more luxury and comfort in your hotel than they expect. Let us see how the design of your bathrooms can make bathing a true experience for your guests.

Rain shower heads in your bathroom will provide your guest with a spa-like experience. A rain shower head should be effective. For that, good water pressure is necessary. When renovating your hotel, you have to make sure to keep water-guts in your hotel. Water-guts will help in achieving sufficient pressure. Also on the floors of the hotel, the water pressure needs to be consistent. The way water pipes are laid in the hotel will affect the consistent pressure o all the floors of the hotel.

When installing walk-in or rain head showers in your hotel, you have to pay attention to the drainage system. Rain shower heads can make things complicated for the drainage system. Especially when the drain is hidden off in the side of the stall instead of being in the middle. A good shower experience ensures that the person is not standing in the puddle of water. This problem can be avoided with tile-laying. The tiles of the floors should be laid in a proper angle with the shower. The water should drain off easily instead of creating a small pool in the shower.

Hotels are switching to showers from the bathtubs. Hot water showers are really very necessary for each and every guest. Hotels use heat exchangers for it, but they consume a high amount of electricity. Hotels should switch to modern automated boilers. They consume less electricity and notify before any problem arises. This prevents the amount which hotels spent on removing the old boilers after they destroyed the bathrooms.

Along with a good bathing experience you have to keep in mind that water is an important natural resource. Its consumption should be done in a proper manner. Traditional toilets used 13 litres water per flush. They should be replaced with the modern toilets which hardly use 5 litres of water. Toilets should be well maintained. Bathrooms should not have leaking toilets. They are the worst nightmare a guest can find in a hotel’s bathroom.

Ventilation, although not the first priority when designing the bathroom but should be paid attention in the initial stages. Hotels generally use fans on the roof and provide central ventilation. It is helpful for the upper floors but the bathroom on the lower floors are not well ventilated. A fan should be installed in each and every bathroom of the hotel. It provides proper ventilation and reduce3s humidity in the bathroom.

Lighting is very important in hotel bathrooms. They not only provide ambience to the bathrooms but are also essential for the guest. Guests usually do their complete grooming and makeup in the bathroom. Backlit mirrors should be installed in the bathroom for a beautiful ambience. These illuminated mirrors are a trend which is consistent when it comes to hotel bathrooms. They even provide a perfect distribution of light on the guest’s face and give them a feel of natural light.

Toiletries provided in hotel bathrooms matter a lot to the guests. From dental kit to disposal bag, each and everything should be available in the bathrooms. The bathrooms should have a range of such products. Not all guests prefer cosmetic products. Another option or Ayurvedic and herbal products should be given. The products should not be the sample pieces. They should be in a sufficient amount for their use.

It seems quite simple to design a bathroom but it requires a lot of logistic plans. There are seamless problems which need to be taken care of when designing a bathroom. A pleasant stay should be planned in every room, be it the cheapest or the presidential suite of the hotel.
