Premium couverture chocolate brand Choko la debuts in the international travel retail market with the sale of their products at the Changi Airport, Singapore in association with LS Travel Retail stores of Terminal 2. The gourmet chocolate boutique chain has an aggressive focus on growing their base across International and Intra-national airports as a part of their expansion plans.
In succession to the new brand identity unveiled by Choko la last year for its products & packaging to target the international market, the brand has also opened up its new outlet at Terminal 3(International Departures) and has resumed operations at Terminal 1(Domestic Departures) of Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi. Additionally, Choko la will soon come up with its brand new outlet at T3D (Domestic Departures area at Terminal 3)
According to Mr. Vibhu Mahajan, Chief Operating Officer, Choko la, “Travel retail is a big focus for Choko la and the company is looking to expand in South East Asia, Tokyo, Paris, and Dubai, New York by 2020. The brand is in talks with several other international airports with a vision to share its love and passion for chocolate with the world, placing India on the global chocolate map.”
It has also partnered with four major duty-free operators within Indian namely: Flemingo Duty-Free at Mumbai & Chennai, WH Smith at Kolkata International Airport; Dufry at Bangalore International Airport; and DFS at Mumbai International Airport to offer their products to domestic and international travellers.
