Conrad Pune celebrated Women’s Week to ensure the overall wellbeing of their women employees!

International Women’s Day is celebrated all over the world on 8th March as a recognition that draws attention to the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. To celebrate and honor the essence of womanhood, Conrad Pune hosted a week from 05th March to 08th March, 2018 to celebrate the diversity that women bring to life. Keeping in mind the prerequisites, needs and preferences of women; the property planned a host of activities that were the right mix of educational & informational sessions and fun-filled activities.

5th March – The week commenced with an informative session hosted by an industry expert, Mr. Jayant Shaligram where he shed light on the increasing need for taking action against workplace harassment. It was an interactive session where he educated the women about what workplace harassment means and the different actions that can be taken to deal with such issues.

6th March – The second day was dedicated to creating awareness for personal hygiene and sanitation where the Conrad Pune team, visited an NGO and distributed sanitary napkins. The team educated the women in the NGO about the importance of personal hygiene. Honoring the women working at their property, Conrad Pune also unveiled a Sanitary Pads vending and disposal machine especially installed for their lady employees.

7th March – On the third day, Conrad Pune honored the brave women from the traffic police force. A felicitation ceremony was held at the hotel where these women were recognized for their increasingly tough job in maintaining the discipline in the city. A special cooking session had been curated by the Executive Chef for these women behind the uniforms where they learnt about Marathi cuisine with a global twist.

8th March – To make the occasion of Women’s Day special for their employees, Conrad Pune had an open day where the female staff participated in a variety of fun-filled activities throughout the day that was organized by the property.

As an ode to all women employees, Conrad Pune thus celebrated Women’s Week with a string of events and activities that contributed to their personal wellbeing and professional development.
