Flag hoisting Ceremony to mark the 69th Republic Day at DLF Mall of India

Col. V.N. Thapar, father of Kargil war martyr Captain Vijyant Thapar to be the guest of honour for the occasion

24^nd January, 2018; Delhi-NCR: India will be celebrating its 69th Republic Day on 26^th January 2018. To honor the occasion, DLF Mall of India, Noida is organizing a flag hosting ceremony to mark the occasion and pay tribute to the valiant heroes of Indian National Army who sacrificed their life for nation’s pride and security .Col V/N Thapar who is proud father of Kargil war martyr Captain Vijyant Thapar will be the guest of honour for the event who would the flag hosting ceremony.

Col. Thapar himself has a strong background and has served the Indian National Army for 37 years. He joined NDA in 1958 and was commissioned into the Maratha Light Infantry in 1962.He saw action at Nathula and also participated in Bangladesh operations. He commanded 14 Jammu and Kashmir Rifles. Before finally retiring in 1999.

 Apart from the flag hoisting ceremony, the event will also witness performances by Indian Army band to spread the spirit of patriotism in the air. Speaking on the occasion, Col VN Thapar said,”We all with gather at the mall premises to pay tribute to Late Captain Vijyant Thapar and all our heroes from the Indian Army who have sacrificed their life for the nation. Their actions will forever inspire generations of India to come. No one can fill the void for the loss we encounter but we can produce many like them by sharing their story with the young guns of India.”
