From Innovation to Indulgence: KMC* Presents its New Menu

Located within the historic walls of Kitab Mahal in Fort, KMC* embraces a vision of boundless creativity and adaptability, which extends to its food, drink, ambience, and space. As KMC* celebrates its one-year milestone, the team has crafted a new menu – one that embraces and celebrates the essence of KMC*. The menu is meticulously created to transcend the boundaries of conventional cuisine and ensures that each ingredient makes a discernible impact. It goes beyond just food—it’s a celebration of flavours, textures, and culinary artistry. 

The KMC* menu unfolds and adapts itself to the concept of the space: it is cryptic, it is evolved and it is familiar with options for dietary preferences such as vegan, gluten-free or Jain. 

Savour the flavours of Goa with our Balchao@bao! Soft steamed bao buns embrace a zesty prawn balchao filling, perfectly paired with a Goan-inspired curry. The Button Dumplings in Green Scallion Sauce takes inspiration from Japanese mochi and is served along with a basil-scallion sauce, smoked chilli oil, and ricotta crumb with a slice of focaccia bread. Good Ol’ Pierogis is a timeless favourite, originating in Eastern Europe, it’s a dish that brings people together binding them with comforting and delectable flavour with a combination of tender dough, savoury fillings, and creamy accompaniments. 

Spice up your day with the vibrant Warm Chilli Salad made of Bhavnagri chillies stuffed with a smoky bean mixture, served alongside zesty labneh, pickled cucumber, crispy moong dal, and a drizzle of smoked chilli oil. The menu also features Dal Vada with Cilantro Hummus, a delightful surprise that combines the aromatic goodness of lentil fritters with the creamy freshness of cilantro-infused hummus, a balance of savoury, tangy, and creamy elements. The Kimchi Sourdough, which is KMC*’s version of grilled cheese, sees kimchi-infused sourdough paired with the cheesy comfort of Oaxaca. 

The desserts unfold into indulgent, heavenly options. If you are in the mood to indulge in warm flavours, the aroma of freshly baked Scones with Clotted Cream and Jam wafting through the air will delight your senses! The Lemon Drizzle and Onion Seed Cake, this month’s seasonal cake, bites into a symphony of flavours with its unique combination of refreshing citrus and crunchy onion seeds, served with a dollop of sweetened and vanilla-infused mascarpone.
