Indian hotels company limited takes a lead to eliminate plastic across its hotels this earth hour

 Taj Hotels Palaces Resorts Safaris, Vivanta, Gateway and Ginger Hotels are participating in a plastic elimination challenge over a period of two weeks in support of Earth Hour. The hotels at IHCL would compete with each other in giving up plastic usage through innovative solutions. The most impactful and replicable initiatives will be judged for potential scaling across the company.  In addition, 30 of its luxury hotels have replaced plastic wrapped dry amenities in their rooms, such as toothbrush, shaving kit etc. with eco-friendly substitutes.

IHCL has been participating in Earth Hour Global for many years with great enthusiasm. This year as well, all IHCL hotels, would observe a one hour switch off of electricity from 8.30 to 9.30 pm on 24th March, 2018 with a host of interesting guest and employee engagement activities.
