India’s Jazz Ambassador to host ‘Jazz Lovers Tour’ to the US in collaboration with Privy by Yatra

The Piano Man’ takes Jazz lovers on a stroll in 3 of 5 greatest Jazz cities in the USA

20th January 2020 | IndiaArjun Sagar Gupta, the Jazz ambassador in India and the Founder of the most loved neighbourhood bar in the town, The Piano Man, will be hosting a nine-day long tour for all the jazz lovers in the country in collaboration with Privy by Yatra.com. The tour will prove to be once in a lifetime experience for Jazz admirers, as they get to enjoy the art in its most authentic form. 

The tour will focus on three cities; The Big Apple-New York, The Crescent City-New Orleans and The Windy City of USA-Chicago. Arjun Sagar Gupta himself will lead the group and take the music and the travel enthusiasts for bar-hopping to the most devoted jazz bars in these cities. The tourists will also be given an itinerary where they will have time to visit the cites’ attractions along with all the craze filled musical experiences. 

Some of the clubs for all the jazz nuts to look forward to are Village Vanguard, The Groove, House of Blues, Green Mill, Kingston Mines and many more. Also, the visitors will enjoy Speakeasy’s like Apotheke, The Angel’s Share, The Office etc. To add to all the excitement the itinerary is set in a way that the tourists will have the pleasure of witnessing “New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival” in most celebrated cities of all times – New Orleans. This festival is going to be a real treat for the travellers the tour will also include other interesting activities like catching up a Broadway play, visiting the ever so famous Frenchmen and Bourbon streets, interaction with some musicians, demonstrative lectures on the concept of Jazz, a walkthrough of Harlem – where the true soul of jazz resides.

About Arjun Sagar Gupta:

An Electronics Engineer by education and a Fulbright music scholar, Arjun Sagar Gupta is the man behind “The Piano Man” group. Widely reputed for pioneering several distinct brands under the group, from a musical supper-theatre concept in a jazz bar to a Eurasian restaurant, Arjun and his team have built successful concepts in the arts as well as F&B spaces. Arjun (or ASG as he is affectionately dubbed), is a living encyclopaedia on jazz and a performing pianist with over a decade of professional experience. 

Though not a chef by profession, he has devoted his time and energy to learning the art from bakers and chefs and to develop his skill and minutely analyse food, an ability he feels is indispensable as a restaurateur. His journey with jazz began in his early teens and his love for music grew from an appreciation of the music to an aspiration to play it and then a deep-set desire to share it with people around him. Arjun has been an active member for several years on the board of “Capital Jazz,” the organisation behind the “Jazz Utsav”.
