IndieFolio MasterClass with Saumin Patel at Khar Social

IndieFolio MasterClass is a series of interactive workshops by industry influencers talking about a diverse range of topics, they’re aimed at creating a platform for the creative community to get together and draw inspiration through interaction.

This MasterClass is going to be conducted by Art by Saumin Suresh Patel, legendary illustrator and a stalwart in the comic book industry. His incredibly dynamic and stylised work has led to him having an enviable client list which includes Stan Lee’s Cosmic Crusaders, Blazing Bajirao, a web-series created for the film Bajirao Mastani, Graphic India, and more.

About Saumin Suresh Patel:

Saumin Suresh Patel is an Illustrator from Mumbai, India. He has been actively creating dynamic and stunning illustrations for a bunch of exciting clients. His work so far includes A graphic novel Agent Vinod – The Jungfrau Encounter for Westland, various comics like Bahubali Battle of the Bold, Multiple comics for – 18 Days, The Mighty yeti for Graphic India, Black Cloud for Image comics.

He is working closely with some of the finest film directors to help visualize various aspects of storytelling through appropriate storyboards. His most recent projects include work for awesome directors like Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Sriram Raghavan, and Vikas Bhel. A few years ago, he had also co-directed and created art for mini web series called Blazing Bajirao for the film Bajirao Mastani. He has created a fantasy erotic art project – Kaamotsav. This project is a window for him to explore contemporary erotic art with distinct Indian visual flavor. Currently, he is working on the second volume of the project.

His core focus is to create a body of work which can be distinct and dynamic visual expressions.
