Folklore is full of enchanted foods said to awaken that slumbering Greek goddess of love and beauty, Aphrodite. Once an exquisite dinner has been eaten and the secret warmth of the wine along with the tickle of the spices are coursing through the bloodstream to a rosy glow, it is time to prolong the encounter with the age-old tradition of imbibing philtres.  But is there any truth in these old wives’ (or husbands’) tales?… We say, “YES!” for over the last 14 years, the Deli has witnessed it all; acquaintances that became relationships, first dates morphed into anniversaries and lovers transformed into partners.

If your curiosity and fantasy is piqued, join us again this February 14^th in a special couple’s menu and partake in another masterfully crafted gastronomic adventure where you are at the helm; where your every desire can be fulfilled. The menu is redolent of over twenty amorous ingredients with the likes of Saffron, Truffle, Avocados, Strawberries, Fig, Red Snapper, Broccoli, Crab, Mustard, Chocolate, Raspberries, Rose & so many more!

Highlights from the menu include a sexy Crab Bisque with Saffron Aniseed Butter, the cheesy and much desired Baked Camembert with a Brûléed Fig & Arugula Salad. Lower your inhibitions with the Sour Cherry Sorbet with Champagne and get your main squeeze by raising the temperature with the Chicken Casserole Served with Yorkshire Pudding, increase your desires & endurance with the Pan-seared Red Snapper drizzled with smooth Saffron Beurre Blanc. Keep things spicy by indulging in the Kasundi-Marinated Cottage Cheese served with Aglio-Olio Zoodles of Zucchini & Yellow Squash. If you wish for a rollercoaster between the sheets, the Broccoli & English Cheddar Crepes with Thyme Cream & Kokum Emulsion is what’s required!
