What five words would describe you as a Home Baker?

Hardworking
Passionate
Observant
Inquisitiveness 

What was your childhood or earliest ambition and why did you choose Homebaking as your profession?

Pooja Nanda Sareen:- As a child, we all have many dreams and with time as we grow up, you really can’t persuade them. You don’t get in life what you want but you get what you are, our dreams can only come true if we dare to chase them. I love to cook and bake for my kids and family and this is how it started and after polishing my skills in 2015 there was no looking back.

Who was or still is your mentor and if given a chance to bake for a celebrity who would it be?

Pooja Nanda Sareen:- All the teachers from whom I have learned are my mentors and I idolise them all. I really can’t take one name. If given an opportunity to bake for a celebrity I would like to bake for, it will be none other than Deepika Padukone, I love her sense of styling and how grateful she is. I would love to make a beautiful Couture Cake for her.

You also specialize in Wedding cakes, tell us how far and advance wedding cakes are becoming and what challenges do you face and how you overcome it?

Pooja Nanda Sareen:- Wedding cakes are trending nowadays. We have so much to offer in terms of style, design, flavours etc and clients too have a good vision in terms of what they want and how special they want their Wedding cake to be in terms of looks and tastes. If we talk about challenges, I feel you are a challenge to yourself. If you don’t challenge yourself, you will never realise what best you can offer your clients.

What trends do you see coming in Baking and Cake Artistry?

Pooja Nanda Sareen:- Every year there is a new trend in the baking world. You have to be vigilant to keep a track on what’s new and what is trending and what your clients will like and how they can look up to you. I feel sometimes instead of the following trends, why not to be a trendsetter.

What is the greatest achievement of your life so far?

Pooja Nanda Sareen:- I’m thankful to God for what all I have achieved in the last 5 years. Being a brand ambassador to some of the renowned brands, to be nominated for the Wedding Cake category by Indian Cake Awards2019 and to be awarded as India’s Top 10 Cake Artists2019 by Cake Masters Magazine, UK
