Ahmedabad, 22nd December, 2022: Marking the beginning of the gleaming Christmas-New Year festive season, the luxury collection hotels of the ITC Group at Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Chennai, recently installed and unveiled magnificent and unique Christmas Tree Installations at their hotels. The unique, artisanal Christmas trees installed at ITC Hotels’ luxury collection properties are an ode to the patrons of the three regions who have shown a renewed faith in ITC’s hospitality promise, time and again.

Each of the Christmas trees embodies the ITC Hotels’ ethos of ‘Responsible Luxury’.

The newly launched iconic property of ITC Narmada in Ahmedabad unveiled a magnificent, 25-feet high Christmas tree installation – Spirit of Gujarat – at the hotel recently. The installation hanging from a height of 210 feet is embellished with more than 500 kites made from Khadi. The one of a kind tree is a befitting tribute to the feisty zest of the people of Gujarat. It an ode to the inclusive Spirit of Gujarat which is as deeply rooted in its culture as it explores newer horizons and endeavours to reach the skies for greater fortunes.

In line with ITC Hotels’ philosophy of ‘Local First’, the ITC Maratha in Mumbai installed an 18-feet towering Tribal Tree, crafted from Bamboo. The splendid installation expresses the ITC ideology of ‘Responsible Luxury’ as it is adorned with Christmas Decorations made with Warli Art – made by artisans from Palghar and Sindhudurg regions of Maharashtra. The initiative, undertaken in collaboration with a not-for-profit organisation, Chivar,  is ITC Hotels’ effort to support at least 40 tribal women artisans, by showcasing local art on the occasion of the globally celebrated Christmas.

Marking the 10-year milestone at the ITC Grand Chola in Chennai is The Palmyrah – Princess of Trees, which is an epitome of love and devotion. The Palmyrah is a tree that grows to a height of 15 metres over a decade. As the revered ITC Grand Chola celebrates its decade-long journey of winning hearts of the people of Chennai with the ITC promise of hospitality, this year’s Christmas Tree installation is inspired from the Palmyrah. The 21-feet high majestic installation at the property is made of dried palm leaves and is a true embodiment of ITC’s ‘Responsible Luxury’ philosophy. The palm tree is the focal point of the cultural landscape of Tamil Nadu. Completely rooted to the soil of the state, the elegance and majesty of this gorgeous Christmas Tree installation draws the attention of every patron visiting the ITC Grand Chola. The palm tree plays a major role in the economic and cultural landscape of Tamil Nadu.
