Mumbai (August 2020): Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), the innovator in global cruise travel with a 53-year history of breaking boundaries, recently unveiled a collection of new Europe itineraries for 2021 and 2022, with guests able to choose from seven ships sailing the region. As twelve-time World Travel Award winner for “Europe’s Leading Cruise Line”, NCL is the unparalleled expert when it comes to cruising in Europe.

NCL’s new Mediterranean and Northern Europe voyages offer port-intensive itineraries, often with late departure times, meaning that guests have more time at each destination to explore.

“Our Indian guests have always shown a desire to travel to European countries and it has been one of the most sought after destinations for them. With our exciting 2021-22 itineraries, guests have multiple options to explore Europe. From the most awe-inspiring sights in Iceland and Greenland to the picturesque landscapes of Greek Isles, our unique itineraries cater to every kind of traveler”, said Manoj Singh, Country Head-India, Norwegian Cruise Line.

NCL Senior Business Development Manager, Betty Abraham hosted an installment in NCL’s webinar series for Indian travel partners, focusing on these new Europe itineraries, providing travel agents with plenty of information and tips on how to promote the new voyages to their clients. NCL’s 2021 and 2022 Mediterranean itineraries will be departing from Athens (Piraeus), Barcelona, Dubai, Rome (Civitavecchia) and Venice, with Northern Europe voyages departing from Amsterdam, Copenhagen, London (Southampton), Reykjavik and Stockholm.

Itinerary highlights for NCL’s 2021 and 2022 Europe sailing season include:

  • Norwegian Star will sail an 11-day roundtrip from Reykjavik, Iceland departing 14 July 2022, where she’ll visit scenic ports in Iceland and Greenland. Norwegian Star will be the first ship in the company’s history to sail to Nuuk, Qaqortoq and Nanortalik, Greenland.
  • Norwegian Escape and Norwegian Gem will both be sailing the Greek Isles for the first time:
  • Norwegian Dawn will be sailing Northern Europe for the first time. Her 10-day British Isles sailing departing from London on 14 May 2022 allows for immersive exploration of iconic destinations such as Dublin and Edinburgh before disembarking in Amsterdam.

At sea, guests can explore the best of Europe from the comfort of one of seven NCL ships sailing the region; four ships from the mid-sized Dawn (Norwegian Dawn, Norwegian Star) and Jewel (Norwegian Gem, Norwegian Jade) classes, Norwegian Getaway from the innovative Breakaway class, Norwegian Escape from the Breakaway Plus class – NCL’s most successful ship class – and Norwegian Epic all sailing the region.

Regardless of which ship they choose, when guests cruise with NCL, it means they have the freedom to curate their experience just the way they want it.

They can indulge their taste buds at one of the varied and flexible dining venues, bask in the bright lights of Broadway with award-winning entertainment, or relax in some of the most spacious and modern staterooms at sea – all before venturing out to experience one of the many shore excursions of their choice.

As part of the cruise line’s Guests First philosophy, which puts passengers at the heart of every decision, NCL’s Peace of Mind policy ensures guests can travel with reassurance through enhanced health and safety protocols and a flexible booking policy. Guests booked on sailings with embarkation dates from Jan. 1, 2021 to Oct. 31, 2021, have the flexibility to cancel their cruise 15 days prior to departure and guests booked on 2020 sailings have the flexibility to cancel up to 48 hours prior to departure. Those who take advantage of the policy will receive a full refund in the form of a future cruise credit which may be applied to any sailing through Dec. 31, 2022. This policy is applicable for any existing or new reservations deposited by September 2020.
