Novotel Pune celebrates Christmas with HIV affected Patients of Sahara Aalhad NGO

Pune, December 26, 2019: Christmas is all about sharing the joy and spreading cheer with the people around you. This year, Novotel Pune carried out an activity to show that extra love and care to the patients of Sahara Aalhad, an NGO that takes care of the HIV affected. 

The stigma associated with HIV positive patients has been around for a long time and to demolish this bridge, the team at Novotel took steps to make these people feel loved and cared for as well by celebrating the true spirit of Christmas with them. They donated bedsheets at the rehabilitation centre in Wagholi along with a donation of cash to the centre. Along with this, the team also paid a visit on the eve of Christmas where they celebrated the festivities by exchanging gifts with each other and enjoyed lunch together. 

“We, at Novotel Pune have always ensured that we give back to the society. While Christmas is a time to celebrate joy and happiness with your loved ones, not everyone is privileged enough to do so. This year we decided to make our celebrations even merrier by carrying out a donation drive and spending time with the HIV affected patients at the Sahara Aalhad NGO. It was an experience that will be etched in our memories for a lifetime”, said Sukhbir Singh, General Manager, Novotel Pune
