Odiya delicacies at Kangan, The Westin Pune Koregaon Park this February!

Pune, February 19, 2020: India is home to a diverse culture and with that comes the opportunity to savor several regional flavors many of which are less explored. There are many cuisines which we all wish to experience the authentic flavors of but can’t, and this February one of the cuisines which you can try without having to travel all the way is the Odiya cuisine at Kangan, the Westin Pune Koregaon Park.

This fine dine restaurant is the epitome of Indian delicacies and those who have dined here can vouch for the same without any hesitation. After all, the plush setting of the restaurant coupled with some of the finest Indian preparations has won many hearts over the years. This February, Executive Chef Amit Dash who hails from Orissa is elated to bring to the table a cuisine very close to his heart and share the lesser-explored flavours from India through this festival. The festival will showcase all
the delicious flavors of the Odia cuisine.

It will bring in the taste of Odisha and will be a culinary treat for all those like to experience new flavors. The feast will feature dishes such as Bano Manso (Spiced Lamb cooked in Onion and Tomato), Janhi Chinguri Tarkari (Prawns cooked with Ridge Gourd, Onion, Mustard, and tomato), Chattu Rai (Oyster Mushrooms cooked with Mustard, Red Chili, and Coriander), Pakhala (Tempered Fermented Rice Served with Potato Bhaja, Tomato & Lentil Dumplings), and much more! Those who like to end their meals with a hearty dessert can try Odiya specials such as Chenna Poda (a traditional Oriya Roasted Cheese cake), Rasa Bali (Deep fried Cheena Dumplings Soaked in Sweetened Milk), and Kakara (Flat Sweet Semolina Bread with Rabri).
