New Delhi,August, 2020: On the occasion of Independence Day, OYO Hotels & Homes pledges to continue to support the quarantine, self-isolation & accommodation requirements of front-line workers and corporates under the ‘OYO Care’ initiative. The hospitality chain has partnered with 24+ State Ministries as well as local authorities to offer some of its properties for pay per use quarantine, self-isolation facilities at affordable prices to minimise the possibility of infection and maximise social distancing and hygiene.
As part of the outreach, OYO is in touch with 50+ government and private hospitals to provide accommodation support to medical first responders at affordable prices. The efforts are in line with the advisories by WHO for doctor and paramedical staff treating COVID-19 patients to be isolated after their routine duty. The company has already provided 100K room nights as part of ‘OYO Care’ initiative in the past four months. The hospitals which have been supported by OYO include - Safdarjung Hospital, Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital and Sakra Hospital. OYO LIFE, the co-living business of the company, is also offering long-term stay to the nurses and healthcare professionals through tie-ups with multiple hospitals. The company has also provided last-mile accommodation support to 500+ corporates including Ericsson, L&T, Omega Healthcare in July itself.

The doctors, nurses and paramedical staff deployed in the isolation wards are given accommodation at OYO tie-up hotels for self-isolation.
