RSJ LIVE presents Bombay Bandook, Samar Mehdi (EP Launch) & Abhinab Dan​ at Todi Mill Social​

RSJ Live returns with its second edition at Todi Mill Social on 26th April. 

RSJ Live 2.0 will feature Mumbai-based singer-songwriter Abhinab Dan who’s been creating buzz in the city’s live music circuit with his refreshing compositions, esp. ‘Kinarey’. The young musician will showcase his solo project for the upcoming edition.

The second act of the night, Samar Mehdi, comes from Bhopal. The musician is already – as one of his songs is called – quite a ‘Safa’, that translates to people’s champion. A no non-sense guitarist and composer, Samar Mehdi is climbing the ladder to success and relevance, one song at a time. However, on 26th April, at RSJ Live, Mehdi will launch his debut solo EP, titled ‘Urooj’. The singer-songwriter has already opened for Parvaaz, Aswekeepsearching and the album launch further puts the musician in an exclusive league of fingerstyle guitarist-composers with studio efforts to their names.

The relationship between RSJ and fusion music is well-known and continuing with the tradition, as the third and final act of the night will be one of the city’s youngest fusion representation – Bombay Bandook. Bombay Bandook is a six-piece fusion band from Mumbai, India. Though the core band consists of six members, the band frequently collaborates with various classical musicians, to create an even richer sound pallet and a more massive sound stage. Their idea is to create a more modern and western music based sound, with the fusion genres ranging from jazz to progressive rock and everything in between.
