Shamana Spa voted Best Destination Spa by Travel + Leisure India’s Best Awards 2017

Goa (India)  Adding another feather to the cap, Shamana Spa at Grand Hyatt Goa has been voted the Best Destination Spa (India) by Travel + Leisure at the annual Travel+Leisure India’s Best Awards 2017 held in Delhi recently.

The Travel+ India’s Best Awards 2017 revealed some exciting names awarding the best in their category in the travel and hospitality industry. The readers voted for their favourite in different categories and there was a tie between top two resorts in India, with a marginal difference in votes; the winning spot for the Best Destination Spa (India) category is shared between Shamana Spa at Grand Hyatt Goa and Ananda – In the Himalayas.

The polling was conducted through the Travel + Leisure website over a period of two months since September this year, the polls secured a record total of 1,48,941 votes this year. With 97 awards across 57 categories that range from the best country, emerging destination, cruise, business hotel, airport, destination spa, and honeymoon destinations in India and across the world, thousands of Travel + Leisure India & South Asia’s readers have voted resulting in a very close competition in most categories.

The evening was a glamorous affair and saw representatives from different cities in India. Travel + Leisure Awards has been conceptualized to recognize and reward the greatest hotels, spas, cruise lines, islands, cities, airports across India and more. Shamana Spa at Grand Hyatt Goa received the award for Best Destination Spa in India, setting the benchmark for the service and excellence in the spa industry all over India.

What makes this award so special is that the spa has won the reader’s choice awards, derived from online voting which resulted in Shamana Spa being the reader’s favorite destination spa in India.
