Slink and Bardot’s French Crème de la Crème Menu

~Celebrating our first year Anniversary with the second edition of our food menu~

French cuisine has always been considered the pinnacle of culinary experience. Last year, it made its way into the heart of Mumbai, when Slink and Bardot opened in Worli, Koliwada and set a new standard for dining in the city with its exquisite small plates. Now, a year after their first foray, they’re all set to introduce a brand new menu (second edition) to kick off their anniversary celebrations!

Created especially for the occasion by Chef Alexis Gielbaum, the new additions are a symphony of flavors that will teleport you to the France of our memories. Think ingredients, which are sourced locally, right from the seafood (which is integral to the cuisine); to the fruits, vegetables, herbs, and spices – all of which find pride of place in the Slink & Bardot kitchen.

The Tartines serve as the grand openers, with options such as the Mushroom Duxelle, with a balsamic reduction and truffle oil, the Rosemary and Pumpkin Croquettes, accompanied by a tomato and vegetable ragout, and the classic Panko Prawns served with a light tartar sauce. If you want to keep it light, the Textures of Potato Salad, with wholegrain mustard and baby leeks, and the Autumn Salad, with butternut squash, truffled lentils, and sherry vinaigrette are wholesome, delicious options.

The rich heritage of French country fare is given a nod on several new dishes. The Homemade Pappardelle, with a Mediterranean ragout, and the Vegetable Waffle, served with black truffle and smoked salmon, are made with Slink and Bardot’s signature elegance, while the classic Mushroom Vol-Au-Vents, made with flaky puff pastry, white wine, and baby leeks, will make one think that they’ve stepped right into a French bakery!

If you’re looking for delicious options to keep you going through these monsoon blues, the new mains are sure to satiate! The Seared Australian Lamb Loin, served with a rich smoked aubergine puree, will keep you warmed up through the rains; while the Seafood Bisque, a medley of prawns and calamari with a saffron rouille, and the Red Snapper a la Meuniere, served with a brown butter purslane – are a seafood lover’s dream! And for the vegetarians, the Miso-Glazed Aubergine Steak (served with a pear compote that complements it perfectly), is sure to be the dish of choice.

No French meal is truly complete without a dash of sweet, and this menu does not disappoint – The Mont Blanc, made with chestnut parfait, rum jelly, almond sable and chestnut ice cream, will help you end your meal on that perfectly happy note.
