~Authentic Malvani delicacies will be featured at the 10-day food festival~

Mumbai, 16^th November: Sofitel Mumbai BKC invites you to relish sumptuous flavours from the South Konkan region, Malvan until Sunday 24^th November 2019. Speciality home chefs Mrs. Prathishta Armarkar and Mrs. Praja Patil under the guidance of Chef de Cuisine Vividh Patil will curate traditional dishes from the Malvan region at the French luxury hotel’s All-Day Dining restaurant, Pondichéry Café.

 
Malvani cuisine hails its lineage from the picturesque coastal town of Malvan in the Sindhudurg district of southern Maharashtra. A mixture of Maharashtrian and Goan cuisine, Malvani cuisine is predominantly non-vegetarian but caters to some delicious vegetarian dishes as well. Freshly sourced seafood, meat, vegetables and herbs are the highlight of Malvani cuisine and are distinguished by generous use of coconut in its various forms.

Mrs. Patil having her roots from a small village in Tondavli, which is a part of Malvan and Mrs. Armarkar having her base in Kandalgaon in Malvan, will present mouth-watering dishes from the scenic shores of Malvan. Unveil the heirloom secrets of the cuisine from these speciality home chefs and savour traditional delicacies such as Sukkha Chicken, Chimbori Masala, Malvani Mutton Curry, Bharleli Vangi, Ravechi Sooji and more accompanied by the refreshing post-meal drink, Solkadhi.
