GOOD FOOD FOR A GOOD CAUSE: INDIGO DELI’S MISSION TO SPREAD SMILES TURNS INTO A SUCCESS!

Mumbai: deGustibus Hospitality’s Indigo Deli has always been a frontrunner in giving back to society. The #spreadthesmilewiththedeli menu introduced by them to celebrate the big festive week which comprised of Bakri Eid, Rakhi, Parsi New Year and Independence Day had touches of joy written all over it with proceeds from it going to the society.

The Deli wants to thank each and every patron for their generous contribution and helping some truly special kids realize their dreams. The vision was brought to life with the help of a special five-course meal curated by the chefs of Indigo Deli between 12th – 18th August 2019, from which they contributed 20% of the sales towards uplifting the infrastructure of Maitri Foundations – Prerna Special School.

The funds contributed by the Deli has helped refurbish the classrooms completely and upgrading services like the electrical connections in the premises. New furniture was also purchased which consisted of chairs, cupboards & repairs of the doors and windows. Teaching aids like a projector and a computer along with network connectivity were installed. That’s not it! Office space was created as well.

Education is fun if the teaching environment is vibrant and fun. And that is the best gift given to mankind!

Prerna Special School is a small organization committed to creating a special school for the community where speech and hearing-impaired children get equal opportunities for education for their overall development and family improvement. Supporting the cause and contributing towards the betterment of the school, Indigo Deli witnessed an overwhelming response from its patrons that helped them raise funds. By meeting the needs identified by the school, the folks at the Deli executed a measurable and systematic upgrade to ensure that their contribution helped provide facilities.

After all, it’s always great to give back to the community and spread some smiles. With this successful initiative, Indigo Deli continues to make a difference not only to your palate by also by making the world a better place for others.
