The Bread Bar celebrates its First Anniversary with a bake sale at the Café

With a vision to offer the city’s finest quality of bread and baked products, Chef Rachi Gupta made her dream come true with the launch of The Bread Bar last year.  A one-stop shop for all your bread needs, in the heart of Chembur, which has a warm and inviting sense of freshly baked fragrance. This year to mark its First Anniversary, The Bread Bar is all set to have a bake sale at the cafe. 

Their first-ever bake sale will take place on the 21st of May at the cafe which will see like-minded brands participating to showcase their products. The Bake sale will see brands like Peko Peko an artisanal ice cream brand, Naagin Sauce a well known hot sauce brand, Urban Platter a go-to brand for all things healthy, Native Tongue offering jams that are a perfect match to pair with your breads, Maaticha a premium honey brand.. It’s an open event where anyone who loves artisanal breads, coffee, can come in for a wholesome experience. 

 “It’s surreal to complete one whole year, it feels like my baby has learnt how to walk. I started The Bread Bar during the pandemic and we’ve been through a lot of highs and lows. One of my biggest challenges was finding the right people to work with to help the brand sustain and grow. With the completion of our first year, we wanted to house a fun bake sale where we have brands complimenting our range of bread.”

At 23, Rachi Gupta, a Culinary Arts Graduate, has not only completed a diploma in French Pastry Arts at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de la Pâtisserie under Ducasse Education in France but has also completed an internship at the renowned Pierre Hermé in Paris. She has also staged at a 3 Michelin Star, Azurmendi in Spain, which was also the Most Sustainable Restaurant in the World!  

The Bread Bar is here to offer a range of artisanal and beautifully crafted baked goods to its customers with locally sourced ingredients with an aim to be 100% sustainable. They also want to promote other such brands that work on a similar ethos by giving them the platform of this bake sale!
