The inaugural Ama Odia Bhoji Food Festival is a huge success !

Bangalore, 17 January 2020 :  ‘Ama Odia Bhoji’ which literally means ‘Our Odia Feast’, is an authentic Odia food festival showcased all the delicious flavors of the Odia Cuisine by Odia Chefs Sai Priya, Smruti Surajita Mohanty, Tapti Patnaik and Deepika Mishra. Curated by Bangalore based foodie, Anupam Behera, Priya Nanda, Ankit Mohanty, Biswajit Mohapatra and Vaibhav Dewan; the fest brought in the taste of Odisha and was a treat for foodies who wanted to sample the scrumptious dishes from the state.

The fest  featured Pakhal Bhata ( Fermented rice combined fried vegetables and Fish) to Kanji, Mutton Aloo Kasa (dry) combined with steamed hot rice, Dalma with pitha , Mutton Mudhi, Chinguri Ghanta, Macha Besara and more. The cuisine also had a treat for all the street food lovers too and included the popular lip-smacking favorites : Gupchup (Pani-Puri) , DahiBara-AlooDum, Ghuguni-Bara, Chenna Podo and more.  

The happiness on all the foodies was evident as they leisurely savored the fragrant mouthwatering delights on a Sunday afternoon at Dialogues Cafe, Koramangala. The community bonded over good food  and laughter as more and more people poured in to take a peek and have a conversation on the food.

The event saw foodies not just from Orissa but from all over the country including Punjab and Karnataka who found similarities and celebrated differences over intense recipe sharing discussions.
