The Westin Mumbai Garden City in Collaboration with Asian Art House Present a Contemporary Art Residency Programme

Mumbai, October 1, 2019 : The Westin Mumbai Garden City in collaboration with the Asian Art House presents an Art Residency Programme from September 26^th to September 29^th 2019. Following a very successful art showcase in Hyderabad in August earlier this year, “Journey of the Canvas” now unfolds at The Westin Mumbai Garden City. This unique Art Residency Programme hosts four well reputed artists who will create some stunning artworks in- residence.

“Journey of the Canvas” will take art aficionados and enthusiasts on a journey – from a blank canvas’ transformation into a breath-taking piece of art. Curated by the Asian Art House, this four day art extravaganza showcases four artists; Madhavi Joshi’s unique style depicting spiritual Indian mythological idols and Hindu iconography through her paintings.; Manoj Daswhose love and passion with colors sees life in various hues using fluid strokes; Steven Gandhi  adds a very different dimension as his works appear deceptively contemporary and modern yet are synonymous with the culture and tradition of rural India and Dr. Vimmie Manoj, an academician, poet, painter and sculptor passionately pursues art through installations, paintings, driftwood sculpture, which merge with her poetic self.

The artsy showcase culminated with an extravagant cocktail brunch at Prego – The Westin Mumbai Garden City’s Italian specialty restaurant. Specially curated by the talented culinarians at the hotel, the exquisite brunch is the perfect amalgamation of fine food paired with tailored cocktails. Some of the signature dishes include Grilled Eggplant & Pecorino with mint roll, Peppered lamb with asparagus & olive relish, Calamari with grilled mushroom, carrot & garlic confit, Truffle Wild mushroom and mascarpone cheese pâté amongst others.
